Resumen
Teaching in the area of Language and Literature is usually based on a standardized didactics that, many times, omits the real situation of the students and their context, which makes learning difficult. Therefore, the general objective of the research was to design an innovative proposal to improve the didactic and methodological processes of the Language and Literature area in the Intensive Baccalaureate. The population studied corresponded to the intensive baccalaureate at the "Simón Bolívar" Private Distance School, located in the Valle de los Chillos, in the canton of Sangolquí, on Av. Luis Cordero and Av. General Enríquez streets in the Rumiñahui canton. The approach was of a mixed type, since the quantitative perspective was combined through the use of a survey in Google Forms, and the qualitative perspective when conducting interviews. Among the main findings found in, it is revealed that teachers are limited to using school textbooks with highly repetitive content, teaching classes in a standardized manner. In addition, it is argued that students require language skills to be integrated both in the teaching process and in the evaluation, in an interactive and practical way. In conclusion, an adaptive methodology and a differentiated didactics are proposed as an option, according to the student population of the institution, as an innovation in the field of Language and Literature.
