Resumen
This project is about the implementation of a cascade control system for a two-tank plant, which can run independently on a PLC or a computer. The plant has been equipped with an ultrasonic sensor in tank 2 and a flow sensor in the pipe leading to tank 1, to measure the flow rate entering through that pipe. The control of the plant is carried out by means of a programmed programmed in TIA Portal V17 software. Cascade control is achieved through two PID Compact, is a control technique in which two or more control loops are used in series to improve the accuracy and stability of the control process. In addition, the HMI display is programmed to show the fill level of the tanks and provide an emergency stop button, a run button to start the process, a stop button to stop the process, a PID reset button to reset the PID, and a height setting button to enter the desired fill amount of tank 1. A PID start button is also included to start the process and show the reservoir level on the display.
