Resumen
This project aims to develop an unmanned surface vehicle (USV) capable of collecting floating waste from the surface of stagnant bodies of water. The device comprises two fundamental systems: the propulsion system and the control system. The former uses radiofrequency-controlled thrusters to enable the device to move over the surface of the water. The latter is designed to monitor and collect data on the waste found on the water’s surface. This control system uses a machine learning model in conjunction with a global positioning system to detect and track the waste. To monitor and acquire data, a Raspberry Pi will be used, which will be programmed using Python to establish the necessary provisions for the proper functioning of the system. In summary, the development of this vehicle will allow efficient collection of floating waste in stagnant bodies of water, which will contribute significantly to the cleaning and preservation of these aquatic ecosystems.
