RESUMEN
El femicidio refleja patrones de conducta de una sociedad en donde los conflictos se resuelven de forma violenta, expresa las relaciones desiguales de poder en el marco del contexto socioeconómico, político, laboral, educacional de las mujeres en las sociedades. La violencia ejercida contra la mujer en su mismo entorno familiar y, más específicamente, por su mismo compañero, es la forma más común, peligrosa y oculta de violencia basada en el género. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo determinar la incidencia de la violencia física contra la mujer en los casos de femicidio en el cantón Santo Domingo, para poder concientizar a la población acerca de su incidencia negativa. Se utilizó un diseño cualitativo – cuantitativo para analizar el fenómeno que se estudia, con los métodos como el analítico – sintético, inductivo – deductivo e hipotético – deductivo para cumplir con el objetivo planteado. Los resultados obtenidos establecen que existe relación directa entre la violencia física y el femicidio. Las conclusiones refieren que es una problemática social, en donde predominan las conductas o políticas machistas. Se resume en toda víctima de violencia representa una potencial víctima de femicidio.

ABSTRACT
Femicide reflects behavior patterns of a society where conflicts are resolved violently; it expresses the unequal power relations in the framework of the socio-economic context, political, labor, and women education in societies. Violence against women in the same family environment and, more specifically, by same fellow couple, is the more common form of dangerous and hidden gender-based violence. This study determines the incidence of physical violence against women in cases of femicide in Santo Domingo Canton, to be able to educate the population about the femicide. It used a qualitative-quantitative design to analyze the phenomenon that is studied, with methods such as the analytic - synthetic, inductive - deductive and hypothetical - deductive to achieve the proposed objective. The results leave no doubt that, there is a direct relationship between physical violence and femicide. The main conclusion refers to they are part of a social problem, in a system dominated by the policies of macho-man nature. It is summarized that all victims of violence represent a potential victim of femicide.
