| dc.description | Na actualidade, o maior desafio com que se enfrenta a sociedade é como se envolver com a proliferação de informação; em termos de confiabilidade, qualidade, obsolescências e gestão, e com sua transformação em conhecimento. O presente artigo aborda a importancia da informação estatistica na formação científica dos futuros profissionais nas universidades que são quadros preparados para explicar, interpretar e resolver os problemas sociais cada vez mais complexos na mudança generalizada de transição para sociedade da informação. Fundamenta-se isto que a informação estatistica resulta um indicador importante para investigação científica pelo seu papel de permitir indentificar, organizar, apresentar e interpretar os fenómenos observados de maneira quantitativa. Daí, a razão de que os futuros profissionais em ciências e particularmente ciências sociais são chamados a ser formados no uso desta ferramenta.PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Interpretação de dados; informação estatística; conhecimento científico; decisão.THE IMPORTANCE OF STATISTICAL INFORMATION ON SCIENTIFIC TRAINING OF FUTURE PROFESSIONALSABSTRACTPresently, the biggest challenge that faces society is how to get involved with the proliferation of information; in terms of reliability, quality, and obsolescence management, and its transformation into knowledge. This article discusses the importance of statistical information in the scientific training of future professionals in the universities that are prepared to explain, interpret and solve social problems increasingly complex in widespread change of transition to information society. This is based on the statistical information follows an important indicator for scientific research for its role to allow identify, organize, present and interpret the phenomena observed quantitatively.
