This article describes the limiting factors of the group of Azuayan women native to Victoria del Portete, Tarqui, San Gerardo, and Chumblín, areas located south of Cuenca that have decided to start their businesses. The vision of the projects they have planned is ambitious, such is the case that they are looking to make their communities one of the most visited tourist destinations in Austro for foreign and national tourists that will be of help to reactivate the family and local economy. At the end of the research, we seek to identify all the limiting factors for the growth of the enterprises, especially in the rural communities of the south of the canton of Cuenca, among which we can highlight the lack of infrastructure to develop their products, the lack of knowledge of the laws to establish businesses, the lack of government support, the local and national economy, labor force, and even the rejection of certain sectors of the community to support mining. To obtain this information, surveys with structured questions and directed interviews were conducted, solving and complementing the information from the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor GEM. La visión de los proyectos que tienen planificados es ambiciosa, tal es el caso que buscan que sus comunidades sean unos de los destinos turísticos más visitados del Austro para los turistas extranjeros y nacionales que evidentemente serán de ayuda para reactivar la economía familiar y local. Al final de la investigación se busca identificar todos los factores limitantes para el crecimiento de los emprendimientos, en especial de las comunidades rurales del sur del cantón Cuenca, entre los cuales destacan, la falta de infraestructura para desarrollar sus productos, el desconocimiento de las leyes para establecer negocios, la falta de apoyo gubernamental, la economía local y nacional, fuerza laboral, y hasta el rechazo de ciertos sectores de la comunidad por apoyar la minería. Para la obtención de esta información se realizó encuestas con preguntas estructuradas y entrevistas dirigidas, solventando y complementando con la información del Global Entrepreneurship Monitor GEM. Para el desarrollo del este artículo, debido a la Crisis Sanitaria por Covid-19 y para facilitar la recopilación de datos, salvaguardando la salud de los autores, se realiza el análisis de los emprendimientos asociados al Frente Intercultural de Mujeres del Azuay FIMA
