Resumen
Amniotic fluid plays a protective role in pregnancy, allows normal fetal growth, organ development, at the end of gestation, protects the fetus from umbilical cord compressions during fetal movements or uterine contractions. Severe Oligoamnio is an amniotic fluid disorder that produces a decrease in the volume of amniotic fluid of less than 100 ml for the gestational age of the fetus. When the volume of amniotic fluid decreases abnormally from the beginning of the second trimester, it may reflect a fetal abnormality that makes normal urination impossible, or it may represent a placental abnormality severe enough to impair perfusion, in any circumstance, the prognosis is poor. The case of a 25-year-old patient was presented, with a 28-week pregnancy with Severe Oligoamnios. The purpose of this study is to investigate causes of severe oligoamnios, maternal health care in pregnancies with this pathology, to know the mortality rate with severe oligoamnios and to infer about obstetric behavior in the case presented.
