Tourism within the economy of the Crucita parish constitutes a key sector to develop the productive matrix of the country, because it is the main engine of the parish, therefore, its performance allows expanding the level of production, promoting the sectors that integrate, energizes the value chain of products and encourages the economic development of the territory. Thus, the objective of this research was to analyze the incidence of tourism in the economic development of the Crucita-Ecuador parish. The methodology used in the present investigation was of a qualitative and quantitative type with a bibliographical and documentary review, which allowed the construction of the theoretical frame of reference, therefore, the method used was non-experimental, and the application techniques used were surveys and interviews with tourists and officials of the Crucita parish. Among the main results, various limitations were found that make it impossible to position tourism as a key reference to achieve the economic development of the Crucita parish, due to the lack of government support in what corresponds to the implementation of new technology. That is why, the need to promote the role of tour operators is exhibited under a series of actions that contribute to the population knowing the importance of tourism within the Crucita parish, aimed at generating a productive structure in the parish that generates economic progress throughout the territory.El turismo dentro de la economía de la parroquia Crucita constituye un sector clave para  lograr desarrollar la matriz productiva del país, debido a que es el principal motor de la parroquia, así pues, su desempeño permite ampliar el nivel de producción impulsando los sectores que la integran, también dinamiza la cadena de valor de los productos e incentiva al desarrollo económico del territorio. Es así que, la presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar la incidencia del turismo en el desarrollo económico de la parroquia Crucita-Ecuador. La metodología empleada en la presente investigación fue de tipo cualitativo y cuantitativo con una revisión bibliográfica y documental, que permitió construir el marco  referencial y teórico, por consiguiente, el método utilizado fue el no experimental, y las técnicas de aplicación utilizadas fueron las encuestas para los turistas y entrevistas para funcionarios de la parroquia Crucita. Entre los principales resultados, se hallaron diversas limitaciones que inhabilitan posicionar a el turismo como un referente clave para lograr el desarrollo económico de la parroquia Crucita,  debido a la falta de apoyo gubernamental en lo que corresponde a la implementación de nueva tecnología. Es por ello que, se exhibe la necesidad de impulsar el rol de los operadores turísticos bajo una serie de acciones que contribuyan a que la población conozca la importancia del turismo dentro de la parroquia Crucita, orientadas a generar una estructura productiva en la parroquia que genere progreso económico en todo el territorio.
