The objective of this research is to analyze the rural entrepreneur and her socioeconomic contribution to the Rocafuerte canton. The research was exploratory, descriptive and documentary, the main results revealed the contribution of women in socioeconomic development, through the identification of the most relevant aspects that affect female entrepreneurship in the rural area of ​​the Rocafuerte canton. The approach was qualitative, the data was collected through the survey model for the Adult Population, Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Ecuador 2019 to 58 entrepreneurs from the Puerto Loor rural community. Among the main findings that were found was the lack of incentives for female entrepreneurship in rural areas, little promotion of networks of rural entrepreneurs as a mechanism to revitalize the rural economy. The problem that affects women entrepreneurs in the rural areas of the Rocafuerte canton was recognized. As an innovative impact of the research, the strategy will be used to provide women in the rural environment of the Rocafuerte canton with information and tools that promote the creation and maintenance over time of the opportunity created.El objetivo de la presente investigación es analizar a la emprendedora rural y su aporte socioeconómico al cantón Rocafuerte. La investigación fue exploratoria, descriptiva y documental, los principales resultados revelaron cual es el aporte de la mujer en el desarrollo socioeconómico, a través de la identificación de los aspectos más relevantes que inciden en el emprendimiento femenino en el área rural del cantón Rocafuerte. El enfoque fue cualitativo, los datos se recopilaron a través del modelo de encuesta a la Población Adulta, Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Ecuador 2019 a 58 emprendedoras de la comunidad rural Puerto Loor.  Entre los principales hallazgos que se encontraron fue la falta de incentivo hacia el emprendimiento femenino en el ámbito rural, poco fomento a las redes de emprendedoras rurales como un mecanismo de dinamización de la economía rural. Se reconoció la problemática que afecta a la mujer emprendedora en la ruralidad del cantón Rocafuerte. Como impacto innovador de la investigación se propuso la estrategia para facilitar a las mujeres del entorno rural del cantón Rocafuerte información y herramientas que potencien la creación y el mantenimiento en el tiempo de la oportunidad creada.
