This thesis has been researched by the relationship between the conceptions of
learning and the goals of studies in university students of the specialties of Social Sciences
of the U.N.E. Enrique Guzmán y Valle during the semester 2019-I. The sample consisted
of 138 students of both sexes of History, Geography and Philosophy, randomly selected
with the random number table. The data collection was done with the Learning Conception
Questionnaire, and the Academic Goals Questionnaire, audited in the respective validity of
content and reliability with Aiken's V and Cronbach's alpha. Hypothesis contrast was done
with Pearson's stan scale and correlation coefficient for descriptive and correlate
hypotheses respectively. The reported findings show the existence of a moderate positive
correlation between the variables studied; the existence of high positive correlations
between interpretive and constructivist conceptions of learning and study goals; the
existence of a high negative correlation between the reproductive conception of learning
and the goals of studies; and the predominance of the average level of development of
learning conceptions and study goals among the students surveyed. The findings were
statistically significant at a probability level of 0.01.
