Influencia del índice de plasticidad del filler en la estabilidad y flujo de mezclas asfálticas en frío en Moquegua, 2019

Resumen
En la presente investigación se elaboraron tres diseños de mezcla asfáltica, cada uno con incorporación de filler de 3 %, 6 % y 12 % de índice de plasticidad, haciendo uso de la metodología Marshall y en concordancia con el procedimiento indicado por el Instituto del Asfalto MS-14 para mezclas asfálticas en frío, se elaboraron 90 especímenes, 30 por cada diseño. Todos los especímenes fueron sometidos a los ensayos de estabilidad y flujo Marshall, cuyos resultados arrojaron valores más altos de estabilidad para el diseño de mezcla asfáltica con 3 % de índice de plasticidad en el filler en comparación con los diseños de mezcla de 6 y 12 %. El flujo determinado tuvo un comportamiento contrario al de la estabilidad, puesto que fue el diseño de mezcla con 12 % de índice de plasticidad en el filler el que tuvo valores más altos respecto a los demás. Como conclusión se demostró que el uso del filler (con % de índice de plasticidad controlados) influye de manera positiva en la producción de mezclas asfálticas en frío mejorando su estabilidad y flujo.
