dc.descriptionO objetivo central deste trabalho é realizar uma análise panorâmica da ferramenta Google Book Search inserindo-a no contexto da digitalização de livros empreendida pela empresa californiana e desvelando os impasses em relação ao direito autoral que tal empreendimento acarreta. Busca desvendar a verdadeira natureza da ferramenta, como sucede o seu funcionamento, qual sua interferência no mercado livreiro e de que maneira este projeto pode servir de instrumento para forçar a revisão das interpretações e leis de copyright. A investigação é resultado de pesquisa bibliográfica. Recorre a autores como Roger Chartier, John Battelle e Lawrence Lessig, entre outros.

It aims to unravel the true nature of the tool, how it works, how it interferes with the bookselling market and how can this project serve as a device to enforce a copyright interpretation review.
