El documento digital no refiere asesor Publicación a texto completo no autorizada por el autor Determina cuál es la incidencia y las características clinicopatológicas del carcinoma espinocelular cutáneo en el Hospital Daniel Alcides Carrión-Callao, durante el periodo 1ª enero 2005 al 31 diciembre 2010. Se realizó un estudio observacional, descriptivo, retrospectivo y transversal. Se revisaron 116 historias clínicas de pacientes con el diagnóstico de carcinoma espinocelular cutáneo. Predominó el sexo masculino (66.38%), con una edad de 73.20 ± 11.16 años. El 69% de casos correspondían a CEC invasor, 21% a CEC in situ y 10% a queratoacantomas. Las localizaciones más frecuentes fueron cabeza (49%), miembros superiores (20%) y región perineal (16%). El tiempo promedio de enfermedad fue de 24±12 meses para CEC in situ, de 12±12 meses para CEC invasor y de 6±6 meses para queratoacantoma, siendo esta diferencia estadísticamente significativa (p<0.01). Con respecto al CEC invasor, las variantes histológicas más frecuentes fueron la clásica (66.67%) y la verrucosa (10.14%). Los niveles de invasión fueron preponderantemente Clark IV (41.07%), Clark II (23.21%) y Clark III (14.29%); la invasión perineural se presentó en 3 (8.82%) de los casos en los que fibras nerviosas fueron identificadas. La mayoría de lesiones correspondían a Estadio T1 (72.46%), N0 (95.65%), M0 (100%) y Estadio I (71.01%). La incidencia de CEC fue de 4.94 y 3.82 por 100 000 habitantes para los años 2005, 2010 respectivamente. Los pacientes con CEC fueron predominantemente varones de la tercera edad con CEC invasor. Las localizaciones más frecuentes fueron cabeza miembros superiores. Las variantes histológicas más frecuentes fueron el tipo clásico y el verrucoso.
