Estudio geotécnico en el análisis del riesgo sísmico de la Zona Norte de la Ciudad de Tacna

Resumen
La zona sur del Perú desde 1868, hace 147 años, se encuentra en un estado de silencio sísmico; frente a esta realidad la población tacneña conformada por un 70 % de foráneos no aceptan las normas y recomendaciones técnicas que se difunden para construir sus viviendas; lo que se demuestra con la actitud de los pobladores del distrito de Alto de la Alianza y Ciudad Nueva que construyen sus viviendas en las laderas de los cerros. La presente investigación fue realizar un estudio Geotécnico de las laderas y suelos de la zona norte de Tacna, con miras a crear una plataforma suficientemente amplia, que permita racionalizar los criterios de evaluación de estos suelos y rocas en concordancia con su importancia relativa, a la prevención, al riesgo sísmico. Sabiendo que el riesgo sísmico físico se define como el grado de pérdidas esperadas debido a un sismo y como una función de la peligrosidad sísmica y de la vulnerabilidad de las estructuras; en este sentido, se ha comprobado que la peligrosidad de desplazamiento del talud del cerro Intiorko, utilizando la metodología Newmark, para un sismo de magnitud de 7,2 ML (Tac 002 – 2005) arrojó un desplazamiento de 0,0058 cm, lo que da como probabilidad de falla de 2,7 x 10-4 % indicando que por el momento no hay peligro. Pero la ladera inferior del cerro y el suelo está formada por material cuaternario conglomerádica y cenizas volcánicas, esto según estudio de suelos es declarado suelo flexible y malo de peligro alto. La vulnerabilidad sísmica de las edificaciones y viviendas evaluadas por los métodos de Blondet M. y Benedetti Petrini en Ciudad Nueva es alta con 88,37 % y en Alto de la Alianza es media con 43,35 % y las edificaciones públicas es media con 73,68 %. El riesgo sísmico en Ciudad Nueva es alto con 84,88 %, por otro lado, en Alto de la Alianza también es alta con 47,67 %. Tesis
