Efecto de los Cementos de Obturación: Biocerámico Mklife y Resinoso Ah – Plus Sobre la Microfiltración Apical en Dientes Unirradiculares en la Universidad Católica de Santa María, Arequipa. 2017

Resumen
Esta investigación está orientada a conseguir un importante aporte cognoscitivo en
el área de Endodoncia, tanto para los especialistas de este importante campo,
como a los Cirujanos Dentistas en general; dando más luces de la relación que
existe entre el cemento sellador y la microfiltración apical, además de la importancia
de la composición y variedad de componentes de estos mismos.
El propósito de esta investigación fue determinar el efecto de dos cementos
obturadores sobre la microfiltración apical en dientes unirradiculares, se utilizó dos
cementos disponibles en el mercado, con diversas composiciones y marcas
comerciales.
En el caso del cemento biocerámico se utilizó MKLife (MkLife, Medical and Dental
products Brasil) y en caso del cemento resinoso se utilizó AH Plus (Dentsply).
El estudio es cuasi-experimental, observacional, prospectivo, transversal,
comparativo y laboratorial. El presente trabajo investigativo se realizó en 42 piezas
dentales uniradiculares extraídas, las cuales fueron divididas en dos grupos,
seguidamente fueron limpiadas con Scaler Ultrasonido, las coronas anatómicas
fueron removidas en la unión cemento esmalte con ayuda de un motor de baja
velocidad y discos de carburo, se prepararon las muestras utilizando el Sistema
Rotatorio K3, la obturación se realizó con la técnica de condensación lateral, el
primer grupo se obturó con cemento biocerámico MKLife y el segundo grupo con
cemento resinoso AH-Plus.
Seguidamente se aplicó dos capas de esmalte de uñas en las muestras de cada
uno de los grupos, recubriendo la superficie radicular, excepto 3mm antes de llegar
al ápex para que ingrese el colorante, luego se colocaron las muestras en la
incubadora a 37ºC, esperando el tiempo de fraguado correspondiente a cada grupo
según las indicaciones del fabricante.

La microfiltración se evaluó utilizando el método de difusión del colorante, se
sumergieron en azul de metileno al 1 % por 6 días, para luego ser sometidos en
una bomba de vacío. Los dientes fueron cortados longitudinalmente para ser
evaluados mediante el estereomicroscopio.
Posteriormente con la información obtenida en las fichas de registro, se
confecciono una matriz, que sirvió para la elaboración de tablas y gráficos. Se usó
para el tratado de resultados la prueba estadística de U de Mann Whitney.
Realizados los análisis correspondientes se llegó a la conclusión que el cemento
biocerámico MKLIFE presentó un nivel de microfiltración apical LEVE, en la
mayoría de los dientes unirradiculares que corresponde al 95.2%. Asimismo, el
promedio de la microfiltración apical fue de 1mm.
El cemento AH PLUS también presentó un nivel de microfiltración apical LEVE en
la mayoría de los dientes unirradiculares que corresponde al 71.4%. Asimismo, el
promedio de la microfiltración apical fue de 1.83mm.
Según la prueba estadística aplicada existe diferencia significativa en el nivel de
microfiltración entre el cemento biocerámico MKLIFE y el cemento resinoso AHPLUS.
Por lo tanto, el cemento que generó menor nivel de microfiltración fue el
cemento biocerámico MKLIFE. Tesis de segunda especialidad
