Resumen
Objetivos: Validar y evaluar la veracidad (mediante sus componentes discriminación y calibración) del modelo de riesgo desarrollado por Van Ramshorst para predecir el riesgo de dehiscencia de sutura abdominal y determinar la incidencia en nuestra población. Materiales y métodos: Estudio poblacional, observacional, longitudinal, analítico y retrospectivo, en pacientes mayores de 40 años sometidos a cirugía abdominal en el Servicio de Cirugía General del Hospital Nacional Ramiro Prialé Prialé en el periodo de Octubre a Diciembre del 2014. Se evaluó el desempeño del modelo de riesgo de Van Ramshorst mediante dos características: discriminación y calibración, siendo estas evaluadas mediante el uso del estadístico Área Bajo la Curva de Características Operador Receptor (AUROC) y mediante la prueba estadística de Hosmer- Lemeshow respectivamente. Resultados: Se estudiaron 146 pacientes, presentaron dehiscencia el 16,4%, se obtuvo el AUROC de 0,93 (IC 95% 0,863 - 0,998) mostrando una excelente discriminación; y en la prueba estadística de bondad de ajuste de Hosmer - Lemeshow se obtuvo diferencia significativa entre eventos observados y esperados (p < 0,001) mostrando pobre calibración. Conclusión: El modelo de riesgo de Van Ramshorst muestra un alto poder discriminativo pero con una pobre calibración. Se encontró mayor incidencia de dehiscencia de sutura abdominal a diferencia del porcentaje mundial. Tesis
