Resumen
La presente investigación se realizó con el objetivo de determinar el efecto de la solución de Propóleo, comparándolo con el Hidróxido de Calcio y Clorhexidina al 2% sobre el Enterococcus Faecalis en los tratamientos de conductos radiculares. La investigación se desarrolló en el Laboratorio de Microbiología del Hospital Militar
Central- Lima. Para lo cual se dividió el estudio en tres etapas: Obtención del Extracto Etanólico de Propóleo, Siembra y Cultivo de las Cepas en placas de agar Azide y series de bilis esculina y Prueba de la Efectividad Antibacteriana en 15 placas de
sensibilidad Muller Hilton sembradas con cepa de Enterococcus Faecalis a los cuales se les coloco 4 discos en cada placa Petri, el primer disco contiene Propóleo al 70%, la segunda sustancia que se coloco fue Clorhexidina al 2%, la tercera sustancia en
colocar fue Hidróxido de Calcio, y la última sustancia colocada fue el suero fisiológico utilizada como control negativo, posteriormente se colocó en un ambiente anaerobio adecuado para el crecimiento de la bacteria y se llevó a la incubadora a 37° C. La medición de los halos de inhibición formados se registró a las 24h, 48h y 72h. El
análisis estadístico se realizó mediante las pruebas de ANOVA y Tukey. Los resultados mostraron que el Enterococcus Faecalis fue más sensible al usar el Propóleo que presentó un promedio de diámetro de inhibición sensible de 23 mm, seguido de la
Clorhexidina que presentó un promedio de diámetro de inhibición sensible de 21 mm, y del Hidróxido de Calcio que presentó un promedio de diámetro de inhibición resistente de 10 mm. En conclusión se observó que existe mayor sensibilidad al utilizar
Propóleo, seguido de la Clorhexidina; en comparación con el Hidróxido de Calcio que mostró halos de inhibición resistente, sobre el Enterococcus Faecalis. Tesis
