Metodología Lean Six Sigma en la producción de expedientes en la oficina de seguros privados del Hospital Regional EGB

Resumen
Sistema de Gestión de la Calidad Chimbote Escuela de Ingeniería Industrial La presente tesis tiene por objetivo mejorar la producción de expedientes en la
Oficina de Seguros Privados y Convenios (OSPC) del Hospital Regional EGB a
través de la metodología Lean Six Sigma, debido a que no se está produciendo el
total de expedientes de acuerdo a la demanda según registrado en el sistema. Se
tomaron los datos de producción del año anterior (2016), tiempo en el cual no se
había tomado en cuenta desarrollar una mejora en la oficina, para compararlos con
los datos del presente año (2017) luego de aplicada la metodología Lean Six Sigma.
La muestra de la investigación fueron los expedientes producidos por Convenios
de SaludPol, IAFAS-Marina y Marina de Guerra del Perú, ya que representan la
mayor demanda de pacientes en cada mes y que consecuentemente simbolizan la
mayor fuente de ingresos para el hospital. Las principales herramientas usadas
fueron el diagrama As-Is para identificar las actividades que agregan y no agregan
valor al proceso; diagrama de Ishikawa y Pareto para determinar las causas más
relevantes y sobre las cuales se harían las mejora; y los indicadores de Nivel de
Calidad Six Sigma y Productividad para conocer el número de defectos del proceso
y la eficiencia de la mano de obra. Aplicado Lean Six Sigma, se obtuvo como
resultados la eliminación y la reducción de los desperdicios de tiempos de espera,
movimiento innecesario, reproceso y defectos en las áreas intervinientes luego de
haber rediseñado el proceso de producción; elevando así el nivel Sigma de 2.74 σ
a 3.53 σ (un aumento del 0.69 σ), así como el aumento de la productividad de 55%
a 61% (incremento del 6%).
