Factores de riesgo asociados a enfermedad de membrana hialina en recién nacidos pretérmino del Hospital Hipólito Unanue de Tacna, 2010 – 2020

Resumen
La enfermedad de membrana hialina es la principal causa de dificultad respiratoria en prematuros. Objetivo: Determinar los factores de riesgo asociados a la Enfermedad de Membrana Hialina en recién nacidos pretérmino del Hospital Hipólito Unanue de Tacna durante los años 2010-2020. Materiales y métodos: Estudio observacional, de casos y controles de tipo retrospectivo. Se incluyeron a 256 neonatos pretérmino con el diagnóstico de Enfermedad de Membrana Hialina como grupo caso y 768 neonatos pretérmino sin la enfermedad como grupo control, en relación 1:3. Se utilizó tasa por 100 nacidos vivos pretérmino y estadístico Odds Ratio con Intervalo de confianza al 95%. Resultados: La prevalencia fue 11,80 casos de Enfermedad de Membrana Hialina por 100 neonatos pretérmino. El factor sociodemográfico asociado fue la ocupación estudiante (OR=1,97). Los factores obstétricos asociados fueron los controles prenatales insuficientes (OR=2,07) y el embarazo múltiple (OR=1,99). Los factores neonatales que se asociaron fueron el bajo peso al nacer (OR=6,4), la prematuridad extrema (OR=11,08), muy prematuro (OR=6,56) y la prematuridad moderada (OR=5,54). Conclusión: Los factores de riesgo asociados a la Enfermedad de Membrana Hialina fueron: la ocupación estudiante, controles prenatales insuficientes, embarazo múltiple, bajo peso al nacer, prematuridad extrema, neonatos muy prematuros y prematuridad moderada.
