Polifarmacia como factor de Riesgo Asociado a no Adherencia Terapéutica en Pacientes con Hipertensión Arterial. Hospital Belén de Trujillo

Enfermedades no Transmisibles Trujillo Escuela de Medicina Objetivo Determinar si la polifarmacia es factor de riesgo asociado a no adherencia terapéutica en pacientes con Hipertensión Arterial en el Hospital Belén de Trujillo. Método: El estudio fue caso control. Se trabajó con 42 casos y 84 controles que cumplieron los criterios de inclusión y aceptaron participar voluntariamente en el estudio. Todos los datos se analizaron con estadística descriptiva e inferencial. Resultados: En nuestro estudio se identificó un 39.3%(33/84) de pacientes hipertensos expuestos a polifarmacia, mientras que el 60.7%(51/84) no presenta. El porcentaje de hipertensos con no adherencia terapéutica relacionada con la presencia de polifarmacia es de 27.4% del total de pacientes en estudio. Sin embargo se identifica que los pacientes que están expuestos a polifarmacia el 69.7% no se adhieren al tratamiento terapéutico. (OR= 3.87; IC 95%, 0.002 – 0.004; p= 0.003). Conclusión: La polifarmacia es factor de riesgo asociado a no adherencia en pacientes con Hipertensión Arterial en el Hospital Belén de Trujillo
