dc.descriptionIn Panama, during the validity of the previous criminal process, the direction of the investigation and the exercise of the criminal action was the power of the social representation, that is, the Public Ministry, who carried out the acts of investigation to prove its theory of the case. With the promulgation of the new criminal, oral, adversarial and guarantor procedural system, the technical defender acquires a leading role in the investigative role, based on the freedom of investigation and presentation of evidence, for which he requires the adoption of skills that facilitate the effective exercise of the defense in the investigative phase.en-US
dc.descriptionEn Panamá, durante la vigencia del proceso penal inquisitivo mixto, la dirección de la investigación y el ejercicio de la acción penal era facultad de la representación social, esto es, el Ministerio Público, quien realizaba los actos de investigación para acreditar su teoría del caso. Con la promulgación del nuevo sistema procesal penal, oral, adversarial y garantista, el defensor técnico adquiere un sitial protagónico en el rol investigativo, basado en la libertad de investigación y presentación de medios de prueba, para ello requiere la adopción de competencias que faciliten el efectivo ejercicio de la defensa en la fase investigativa.es-ES
