Resumen
Dominica’s agricultural sector consist of a mixture of both subsistence and commercial operations. Livestock is also raised for domestic consumption, and there is a thriving network of small traders and inter-island commerce. The IICA-GCF Readiness Project aims to improve the enabling conditions for enhanced climate action in this sector, increase the number of projects identified for development and investment, and disseminate best practices for building climate resilience along prioritized agricultural value chains, with a focus on cultivating the innovative capacity of the region's youth. The project's specific objectives include strengthening policies, capacities, frameworks, methods, and institutional arrangements for data collection, monitoring, measuring, reporting, verifying, and analyzing agricultural activity data.
