dc.descriptionThe explanations of qualified migrations have followed their own road, relatively divorced from the theoretical explanations of migration in general, without having established a close dialogue, reproducing and discussing insufficiently categories, concepts, and suppositions that replicate gender stereotypes. Based on the revision of empirical evidence taken from the migration of qualified individuals in North America, particularly between Mexico and the United States, the author proposes to take into account the elements that support her premise.
dc.descriptionLas explicaciones de las migraciones calificadas han seguido un cauce propio, relativamente distanciado de las explicaciones teóricas de las migraciones en general, sin haber establecido un diálogo cercano, reproduciendo y no discutiendo lo suficiente categorías, conceptos y supuestos que replican estereotipos de género. Con base en la revisión de elementos empíricos evidenciados en la migración de personas calificadas en la región de Norteamérica, en particular entre México y Estados Unidos, el artículo propone recoger los elementos que abonan a la premisa planteada.
