The construction is reported in this paper of an image shape transformer with optical components and commercial devices presently available. The corresponding theory of the shape transformer can be consulted in previous works. Due mainly to the small dimensions of the transformer, of a few millimeters, many problems were found and resolved. We think it is useful to summarize this experience in this document, so, practical problems related with the optics, alignment, mechanics and mountings along the construction of the transformer are described in the next sections.
