dc.descriptionThe present work basically exposes a research on retained lower third molars, which began, in the long term, has been carried out since the third decade of the twentieth century, given the importance within public and social health, by some North American universities that have been concerned about the problem of retained lower third molars. This problem is the concern of some dental science researchers, who had the ability to observe a certain population (a segment) that suffered discomfort in their mouth from the development of the germs of the lower third molars. Since then, a series of solutions have been tried, starting with the elimination of the dental germs at an early age, up to the total development of the dental pieces (retained lower third molars) and their subsequent extraction.
dc.descriptionEn el presente trabajo se expone básicamente una investigación sobre los terceros molares inferiores retenidos, cuyo inició, a largo plazo, se ha venido realizando desde la tercera década del siglo XX, dado la importancia dentro de la salud publica y social, por algunas Universidades Norteamericanas que se han preocupado por el problema de los terceros molares inferiores retenidos. Siendo ese problema preocupación de algunos investigadores de la ciencia odontológica, quienes tuvieron la capacidad de observación, sobre cierta población (un segmento) que padecía molestias en su boca a partir del desarrollo de los gérmenes de los terceros molares inferiores. Desde entonces a nuestros días, se han intentado una serie de soluciones que se inician con la eliminación de los gérmenes dentarios en temprana edad, hasta el total desarrollo de las piezas dentales (terceros molares inferiores retenidos) y su posterior extracción.
