Braconidae is one of the more diverse families of Hymenoptera with almost 20,000 species worldwide. Meteorus has 316 species and is almost cosmopolitan. Previously, seven species of this genus have been recorded from Mexico. In this note, Meteorus arizonensis Muesebeck isrecorded for the first time for the country, obtained from the fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda (J.E. Smith), with material from Santa Maria del Oro, locality in the State of Nayarit. Braconidae es una de las familias más diversas de Hymenoptera con casi 20.000 especies en todo el mundo. Meteorus tiene 316 especies y es casi cosmopolita. Anteriormente, se han registrado siete especies de este género de México. En esta nota, Meteorus arizonensis Muesebeck se registra por primera vez en el país, obtenido del gusano de la caña, Spodoptera frugiperda (J.E. Smith), con material de Santa María del Oro, localidad del estado de Nayarit.
