Resumen
Retomar la historia de más de 14 años de lucha y resistencia de los zapatistas, sus iniciativas
políticas y, en particular, sus procesos múltiples y variados de construcción de autonomías
indígenas y la construcción de alianzas nacionales e internacionales, es el propósito fundamental
de esta ponencia, con la finalidad de subrayar aquellos elementos que apuntan a un proyecto de
nueva humanidad, como resistencia y rebeldía ante el modelo de dominación que se nos viene
imponiendo como final de la historia y el pensamiento único. En ese sentido destacan los tres
Encuentros de los Pueblos Zapatistas y los Pueblos del Mundo y el Encuentro de Pueblos
Indígenas de América, realizado en Vícam, Sonora, México, cuyo resultado es un parteaguas en
el proceso de articulación de los pueblos indígenas del continente, sólo porque confirman que, a
pesar de las diferencias, se realiza la misma guerra de conquista de sus territorios. ITESO, A.C.
