dc.description"In this thesis we calculate, using ab–initio quantum methods, various novel optical effects in Graphane. The Graphane is obtained when Graphene is functionalized by selectively doping it with hydrogen. Graphene is a bi-dimensional material made with carbo atoms; its discoverers where awarded with the Nobel Price of Physics in 2010. We have that, for an specific hydrogen doping the novel optical effects that we calculate are enhanced over conventional materials, thus converting Graphane as a promising structure for a large number of applications."
