dc.description | Chemical-Physical intense changes suffered by myocardium during ischemic events compound functional substrate in order to generate surface electric potential re-entries. These alterations are modelled in 2D mesh of epicardial tissue using biophysical Luo-Rudy model. As a result figure-of-eight re-entry are obtained, which represent a source-sink electric unbalance. It is believed this unbalance is the core of ventricular fibrillation. | |
