capacidad reproductiva" "In the Coahuila and Durango states there are laboratories for the reproduction of beneficial
organisms where the lacewing (Chrysoperlaspp) is raised to release it as a biological control agent
for pests, so it is necessary to assess its quality. The objective was to determine the viability of
eggs, periods of development and survival as well as the life and fertility tables of the lacewing.
Biological material from three laboratories was evaluated, two from the Comarca Lagunera,
CREROB-Torreón and DesLac (Gómez Palacio, Durango) and one from Saltillo (CREROBCESAVECOH).
For viability, three repetitions of 300 eggs per laboratory were obtained, hatching
and emergence of larvae were observed. For the periods of development and survival of the
biological stages, 200 eggs were used per laboratory and the larvae were fed with
Sitotrogacerealella eggs. The stage of development of each individual, the days required to
complete each stage and the number of surviving individuals were recorded daily. For the life and
fertility tables, a cohort of 100 eggs was used, observing daily the survival and oviposition of the
females. The viability of the eggs showed differences between laboratories, the highest was in the
CREROB-Torreón laboratory with 79.6 % hatching, followed by DesLac laboratory with 66.4% and
the lowest corresponded to the Saltillo laboratory with 47.5%. The vital statistics of the lacewings
indicate that this predator has a high reproductive capacity"
