detergente neutro (FDN), carbohidratos no fibrosos (CNF) y nutrientes digestibles
totales (TND).
largo plazo que permita identificar y observar los efectos de las aplicaciones" "Alfalfa is the most important forage legume worldwide due to its high biomass
yield. It is considered to have a high nutritional value due to several factors
including protein concentration, fiber types, forage digestibility, and the leaf-stem
relationship. The objective was to evaluate the effect of periodic applications of
Ascophyllum nodosum extract on the nutritional quality of alfalfa. The experiment
was in the Ejido La Partida, municipality of Matamoros, Coahuila, Mexico. The
experiment was carried out in a total area of 20 hectares with a completely
randomized experimental design with two treatments. The product (T1) extract of
seaweed Acadia Soil® was applied with a dose of 1 liter per hectare and control
without product application (T2), six repetitions were considered. 150 g of plant
material were collected, adding 100 samples, they were sent to the Agrolab forage
analysis laboratory and the following were determined: crude protein (CP), acid
detergent fiber (ADF), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), non-structural carbohydrates
(NCS) and Total Digestible Nutrients (TND). The data were subjected to analysis
of variance (ANOVA). Of the variables evaluated, there is no significant difference
(<0.05). This may be due to the short evaluation time. Therefore, the use of the
extract does not have a rapid response in the crop, probably requiring long-term
studies to identify and observe the effects of the applications"
