"The present study was carried out in the "Navidad" Experimental Agricultural Field belonging to the "Antonio Narro" Autonomous Agrarian University in a soil with loamy-loam texture whose moisture parameters for Field Capacity and Permanent Wilting Point were 32.2 and 17.0 percent , respectively.
The main objective of the work was to evaluate the
Effect of soil moisture stress on yield, yield components, and growth of wheat varieties with different degrees of adaptation to
water deficit.
A random block design was used with an arrangement in divided plots and three replications, the largest plot had three irrigation treatments based on soil moisture tension (1, 5 and 12 atmospheres) and the smallest plot had four varieties. of wheat (Ciano, Anáhuac, Temporalera and Gálvez).
The results obtained indicate that the yield of the crop was strongly affected by the humidity levels in the soil at the time of applying the irrigation, obtaining the highest yields in the treatment of an atmosphere and decreasing as the water deficit increased. Being the variety for irrigation Ciano the one that showed the highest yields on average when considering the three humidity levels."
