"In the greenhouses located at the Universidad Autónoma Agraria Antonio Narro this thesis project was estabilished in ramdom design in which 4
treatments with 6 repetitions were evaluated, consisting in the application of 0, 25, 50 and 75 t/ha of mycelium of Penicilhum chrysogenum recovered from the production of penicillin. The significance for treatments found in different variables evaluated were interpreted by means of polynomial regression analysis.
The application of this industrial waste highly affected the pH of the soil as well as the apparent density. This effect was positive since both of there characteristics showed lower volumes. At the same time there was a significant increase in the contents of phosphorus and potassium. The microbe population was affected as well by the addition of this material since the number of bacteria and fungy per gram of soil showed a tendency to rise when the quantity of mycelium was íncreased. As for the characteristics evaluated ín the plants, an increase in height and dry weight was noted as well as in the protein content, giving a higher nutritional value to the grass under study (Cenchrus ciliaris),
Based on this we can say that this organic waste presents an opportunity for recycling through its application in agricultural lands since it improves chemical, physical and biological characteristics of the soil, when the composition is previously monitored."
