dc.descriptionThis manual provides guidance for considering gender and social inclusion when designing and conducting demonstration plots and field days, to enhance the effectiveness of these two approaches in improving farmers’ knowledge and adoption of new, improved varieties. The first section of the manual defines key concepts, including agricultural demonstration plots, and gender and social inclusion, among others. The second section focuses on the importance of gender and social inclusion in the selection matrix for situating and designing demo plots. The final section reviews why gender matters when planning and executing field days.
