The aim of the present investigation is the rational design of a new biocatalyst active in the kinetic resolution of racemic ibuprofen through the esterification of the profen. In this context, the synthesis of the material involves the immobilization of the lipase B of Candida antarctica from a commercial crude extract over titanium dioxide (anatase) nanoparticles. The maximum dispersion limit of the protein on the oxide support was determined through the adsorption isotherm at room temperature.
Additionally, certain substances were carefully added to the synthesis media in order to promote the activity of the biocatalyst in the enantiomeric esterification of the R(-)-ibuprofen. Centro de Investigación de Proteínas Vegetales Centro de Investigación y Desarrollo en Ciencias Aplicadas
