| dc.description | La conflictividad urbana en la Castilla bajomedieval ofrece abundantes ejemplos del uso de referentes políticos comunitarios por parte de los poderes concejiles a la hora de defender posiciones de privilegio, en un escenario complejo definido por las interrelaciones sostenidas con otros agentes políticos presentes en el marco urbano (monarquía, nobleza, iglesia). En este sentido, el contencioso por el intento de venta de unas tierras colindantes con el alfoz de Burgos llevado a cabo en 1510 por la institución capitular al condestable de Castilla, considerado como una amenaza a los privilegios urbanos por una parte del regimiento, hizo aflorar en el escenario de negociación abierto para resolver el conflicto -en el que intervinieron el cabildo, el noble, el regimiento y el representante regio- la diversidad de intereses de la élite local en función de los vínculos clientelares que sostenía. | |
| dc.description | Urban conflict in late medieval Castile offers abundant examples of political references based on the community were used by local powers to defend positions of privilege. This occurred in a complex scenario defined by the interrelations with other political agents present in cities (the monarchy, the nobility and the Church). As an example, the attempted sale of lands adjoining the alfoz of Burgos, carried out in 1510 by the capitular institution to the Constable of Castile, was considered a threat to urban privileges by a part of the regiment. These actions led to an open negotiation in which the cabildo, the noble, the regiment and the regional representative intervened. This case shows how the diverse interested of the local elite were sustained according to their clientele networks. | |
