| dc.description | Cemeteries are places where people put the cadavers for their inhumation. These places must count on technical and sanitarian conditions so that the human cadaver does not represent any risk for the workers of the cemeteries, for the population and for the environment; through the characteristic emission of the decomposition process of the corpses. The research objective is to identify and control the risks for the workers of the cemeteries, for the surrounding population and for the environment; with the aim of contributing to improving the current situation of the cemeteries. The investigation has been conducted through a not random and deliberated sample of six cemeteries located in Lima city. It includes three steps: information collection, risk assessment, information systematisation and analysis. Interviews and observations have been conducted. Risks have been assessed according to three levels: low, medium and high; having established health, welfare, sanitary and environmental criteria. 30% of the workers and 39% of the population who lives around the six cemeteries have been interviewed. | en-US |
| dc.description | Los cementerios son lugares en los que la población dispone los cadáveres para su inhumación. Estos lugares deben contar con condiciones técnicas sanitarias para que el cadáver humano no represente riesgos a los trabajadores de cementerios, a la población y al medio ambiente, debido a las emisiones propias del proceso de descomposición de los cadáveres. El objetivo de la investigación es identificar y controlar los riesgos a los trabajadores de los cementerios, a la población circundante a dichos recintos y al medio ambiente, bajo los lineamientos de la gestión ambiental; con la finalidad de contribuir a mejorar la situación actual de los cementerios. La investigación se ha realizado en una muestra, no probabilística y deliberada, de seis cementerios localizados en la ciudad de Lima. Asimismo, ha comprendido tres etapas: Levantamiento de información, evaluación de riesgos, y, sistematización y análisis de la información, como parte de la metodología se ha realizado entrevistas y observaciones. Se evaluaron los riesgos de acuerdo a tres niveles: bajo, medio y alto; habiéndose establecido criterios de salud, bienestar, sanitario y ambiental. Se entrevistó al 30 % de los trabajadores y al 39 % de la población que habita alrededor de los seis cementerios. | es-ES |
