It serves as a justification and basis for the issues raised in the first volume of the book, with the intention that the information disseminated can be collated by scholars. In this sense, the documentation on the jurisdiction of the rectors, the chairs of indigenous language, the salaries that the professors received is exposed so that a contrast is made between the customs of that time and the current ones. This parallel can be seen with the dissemination of the foundations of the universities of Lima, Mexico, La Plata and Santo Domingo, where Eguiguren reviews the official effort of the sixteenth century rulers on these institutions.en-US
