This second installment - part of the Historia de la Universidad collection - contains a set of constitutions, papal bulls, references, biographies, certificates, letters and documents. It serves as a justification and basis for the issues raised in the first volume of the book, with the intention that the information disseminated can be collated by scholars. In this sense, the documentation on the jurisdiction of the rectors, the chairs of indigenous language, the salaries that the professors received is exposed so that a contrast is made between the customs of that time and the current ones. This parallel can be seen with the dissemination of the foundations of the universities of Lima, Mexico, La Plata and Santo Domingo, where Eguiguren reviews the official effort of the sixteenth century rulers on these institutions.Esta segunda entrega ―parte de la colección Historia de la Universidad― contiene un conjunto de constituciones, bulas papales, referencias, biografías, cédulas, cartas y documentos. Sirve como justificación y fundamento de los temas planteados en el primer volumen del libro, con la intención de que la información difundida pueda ser cotejada por los estudiosos. En este sentido, la documentación sobre la jurisdicción de los rectores, las cátedras de lengua indígena, los salarios que percibían los catedráticos es expuesta para que se haga un contraste entre las costumbres de aquella época y las actuales. Este paralelo puede apreciarse con la difusión de las fundaciones de las universidades de Lima, México, La Plata y Santo Domingo, en donde Eguiguren revisa el esfuerzo oficial de los gobernantes del siglo XVI sobre estas instituciones.
