The Domingo Angulo Historical Archive safeguards the documents produced and received at the National University of San Marcos, so it constitutes a fundamental element for its identity and for the construction of its memory. In this book, the main texts of said registry have been compiled and a chronicle of the university has been articulated through its documents, including information about the foundation of the UNMSM, its governance structure, religious presence in its viceregal educational plan , university life in colonial times, the evolution of its shield and its importance in the construction of the Republic.El Archivo Histórico Domingo Angulo custodia los documentos producidos y recibidos en la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, por lo que constituye un elemento fundamental para su identidad y para la construcción de su memoria. En este libro se han recopilado los principales textos de dicho registro y se ha articulado una crónica de la universidad a través de sus documentos, incluyéndose información acerca de la fundación de la UNMSM, su estructura de gobierno, la presencia religiosa en su plan educativo virreinal, la vida universitaria en tiempos coloniales, la evolución de su escudo y su importancia en la construcción de la República.
