In this article we address the way in which the experiences of peronization of university students and professors from Buenos Aires channeled organizationally in the early 1970s. The first section is dedicated to the way in which some intellectuals of the time interpre­ted the expectant context generated by the return of Juan Domingo Perón to Argentina in 1972 and the election of Héctor Cámpora as the new constitutional president in 1973. Then we analyze the constitution of the Peronist University Youth, taking as immedia­te antecedents the process of unification of the Peronist Youth and the emergence of the Peronist University Coordination. Finally, we present the political scenario in which the appointment of Rodolfo Puiggrós as new interventor rector of the University of Buenos Aires on May 29, 1973 was framed, to investigate where the base of professors and inte­llectuals on which his management started came from.En este artículo abordamos la manera en que se canalizaron organizativamente las expe­riencias de peronización de universitarios porteños a principios de los setenta. El primer apartado está dedicado a la forma en que interpretaron algunos intelectuales de la épo­ca el contexto expectante que generaron el retorno de Juan Domingo Perón a la Argen­tina en 1972 y la elección de Héctor Cámpora como nuevo presidente constitucional en 1973. Después analizamos la constitución de la Juventud Universitaria Peronista, toman­do como antecedentes inmediatos al proceso de unificación de las Juventudes Peronistas y el surgimiento de la Coordinara Universitaria Peronista. Finalmente, presentamos el esce­nario político en el que se enmarcó la designación de Rodolfo Puiggrós como nuevo rec­tor interventor de la Universidad de Buenos Aires el 29 de mayo de 1973, para indagar de dónde provenía la base de docentes e intelectuales sobre la que partió su gestión.
