Resumen
In this paper, a discrete-time inverse optimal control is applied to a three-phase linear induction motor (LIM) in order to achieve trajectory tracking of a position reference. An on-line neural identifier, built using a recurrent high-order neural network (RHONN) trained with the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF), is employed in order to model the system. The control law calculates the input voltage signals which are inverse optimal in the sense that they minimize a cost functional without solving the Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman (HJB) equation. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm is employed in order to improve identification and control performance. The applicability of the proposed control scheme is illustrated via simulations. Spondias purpurea regularly thrive in shallow, rocky infertile soils unsuitable for conventional crops. The weight, axial and radial length, pH, total soluble solids (SST), reducing sugars, proteins and mineral content in fruits were recorded. The mean fresh fruit weight was superior in the cultivated varieties (20 g) than in the wild (16 g). Similarly the highest values of pH, SST, reducing sugars and protein content (3.3, 12.15 degrees Brix, 0.38 g/100 g and 1.18 g/100 g, respectively) were observed in the cultivated plantations compared with wild populations (3.0, 8.31 degrees Brix, 0.24 g/100 g and 0.14 g/100 g, respectively). In cultivated plantations, productivity ranged from 0.15 ton ha-1 to 5.0 ton ha-1, and must be considered satisfactory, considering the low inputs of fertilizers and pesticides applied to orchards. The fruits of S. purpurea are similar in nutrimental content to more important commercial fruit species; it produces fresh fruits during the dry months of spring, when few fresh fruits are available in the local markets. In addition, S. purpurea is a source of water and food for domestic animals and wild fauna. These traits emphasize their agronomical and ecological importance for tropical and subtropical environments, where it can also be used in reforestation programs because it can grow in infertile rocky soils, and in agroecosystems inhabited by low income farmers that practice subsistence agriculture. In fact, the cultivation of Spondias has helped convert marginal lands into productive lands.",,,,,,,,,"http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12104/43913","http://www.scopus.com/inward/record.url?eid=2-s2.0-51449108759&partnerID=40&md5=eca454d6f3cce2182a95de401d82487f",,,,,,"2",,"Revista de Biologia Tropical",,"675 687",,"56",,"Scopus WOS",,,,,,"Agroecosystem description; Anacardiaceae; Fruit chemical composition; Spondias purpurea; Subtropical climate",,,,,,"Production systems of Spondias purpurea (Anacardiaceae) in Central West México [Sistemas de producción de Spondias purpurea (Anacardiaceae) en el centro-occidente de México]",,"Article"

This behavioral pattern appeared 5-9 min after administration of 4-aminopyridine and persisted for 100-150 min. 4-Aminopyridine also generated epileptiform electroencephalographic (EEG) discharges characterized by isolated spikes, poly-spikes and spike-wave complexes, which began some seconds after administration of the drug and were present for more than 2 h. The NMDA receptor antagonists (+/-)-3-(2-carboxy-piperazin-4-yl)-propyl-1-phosphonic acid (CPP), (+/-)-2-amino-7-phosphono-heptanoic acid (AP7) and (+)-5-methyl-10, 11-dihydro-5H-dibenzo[a,d]cyclohepten-5,10-imine hydrogen maleate (MK-801) clearly protected against some of the behavioral alterations induced by i.c.v. 4-aminopyridine, particularly the tonic convulsions, but were less effective against those produced by i.cx. 4-aminopyridine. These antagonists also delayed the appearance of EEG epileptiform discharges, reduced its amplitude, frequency and duration, and blocked their propagation to other cortical regions after i.cx. 4-aminopyridine. These results, together with previous data showing that 4-aminopyridine stimulates the release of glutamate in vivo, suggest that an excessive glutamatergic neurotransmission involving NMDA receptors is implicated in 4-aminopyridine-induced seizures.",,,,,,"10.1016/0014-2999(96)00157-4",,,"http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12104/43939","http://www.scopus.com/inward/record.url?eid=2-s2.0-0343371821&partnerID=40&md5=dbd81a01818914db5bc7479e4470099e http://ovidsp.ovid.com/ovidweb.cgi?T=JS&CSC=Y&NEWS=N&PAGE=fulltext&D=med4&AN=8813536",,,,,,"01-mar",,"European Journal of Pharmacology",,"87 93",,"305",,"Scopus MEDLINE WOS",,,,"Index Medicus;2-Amino-5-phosphonovalerate/aa [Analogs & Derivatives];2-Amino-5-phosphonovalerate/pd [Pharmacology];4-Aminopyridine/ad [Administration & Dosage];4-Aminopyridine/ae [Adverse Effects];Animals;Anticonvulsants/pd [Pharmacology];Convulsants/ae [Adverse Effects];Dizocilpine Maleate/pd [Pharmacology];Electroencephalography;Injections, Intraventricular;Male;Motor Cortex/ph [Physiology];Neuroprotective Agents/pd [Pharmacology];Piperazines/pd [Pharmacology];Rats;Rats, Wistar;Receptors, N-Methyl-D-Aspartate/ai [Antagonists & Inhibitors];Seizures/ci [Chemically Induced];Seizures/pc [Prevention & Control];Stereotaxic Techniques",,"4-aminopyridine; excitatory amino acid neurotransmission; NMDA receptor antagonist; seizure",,,,,,"Protection by NMDA receptor antagonists against seizures induced by intracerebral administration of 4-aminopyridine",,"Article"

Collision-induced dissociation-MSn experiments were performed using an ion trap analyser during HPLC-ESI/MS analyses. Nineteen isoflavone conjugates were identified in samples obtained from air-dried roots, leaves, stems and inflorescences of lupin plants. It was possible to determine the structures of the studied compounds on the basis of the MS recorded. The compounds identified were di- and mono-glucosides of genistein and 2?-hydroxygenistein with a different pattern of C- and O-glycosylation. Some glucosides were acylated with malonic acid. It was not possible to establish the glycosylation sites on the basis of MS alone; however, it was possible to differentiate isoflavone C- and O-glucosides. The highest levels of isoflavones and their conjugates were detected in roots and the lowest in stems. Free aglycones were identified in roots and inflorescences but they were not found in stems and leaves. Copyright " 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
