Resumen
Durante los últimos años, el papel y función de las mujeres está cambiando por diversos factores y fenómenos, la estructura y cultura en las comunidades rurales se ve afectada, así como los patrones y relaciones de ellas con los hombres y con los recursos a los que tienen acceso.
En las nuevas condiciones de acción de las mujeres, la perspectiva de género permite analizar la dinámica diferencial que enfrentan las y los integrantes de una familia, la redistribución del trabajo, el acceso y control de los recursos, tanto económicos como naturales, y su repercusión en la toma de decisiones en el ámbito social de su comunidad.
Para el propósito de esta investigación, se seleccionó la Comunidad de Atla, perteneciente al municipio de Pahuatlán de Valle, Puebla. Se eligió esta comunidad por existir referencia de que las mujeres han deseado incursionar en procesos de organización alternativos, especialmente en bordados tradicionales, dada su precaria situación económica, y muchas veces en ausencia de la participación masculina; además, por las facilidades para acceder a dicha comunidad, que se compone principalmente de un grupo nahua. Así mismo, otro motivo para este estudio fue el hecho de que no existe conocimiento, desde la perspectiva de género, de la comunidad de Atla.
Se incluyen características ambientales de la zona de estudio, la metodología empleada para la obtención de la información en campo, la descripción y análisis de resultados que describen las características de las mujeres entrevistadas y las conclusiones del presente estudio.

ABSTRACT
In recent years, the role and function of women is changing by several factors and phenomena, structure and culture in rural communities affected, and the patterns and relationships of them with men and with the resources that have access.
In the new conditions of action of women, the gender differential to analyze the dynamics facing and members of a family, the redistribution of labor, access and control of resources, both financial and natural, and their impact in decision-making in the social context of their community.
For the purpose of this research, we selected the Commonwealth of Atla, Pahuatlán de Valle, Puebla. We chose this community for reference exist that women have wanted to venture into alternative organizational processes, especially in traditional embroidery, given their precarious economic situation, and often in the absence of male involvement, and also because the facilities to access the community, which consists primarily of a Nahua group. Also, another reason for this study was the fact that there is no knowledge, from a gender perspective, Atla community.
They include environmental characteristics of the study area, the methodology used to obtain field information, the description and analysis of results that describe the characteristics of the women interviewed and the findings of this study.
