ABSTRACT: The activities carried out in different companies, in which the use of chemicals is essential to the exercise of their evidence, is becoming more widespread, however, the use of these agents given the terms of use and the toxicity of these substances makes employees has exposed occupationally acquire illnesses, where pathologies to the liver may become apparent, little importance has been given to such conditions.
In this study raise the question as to personnel exposed to the agents. Is there a liver disorder?, Is it possible to link their specific work activities?, What is the significance of the liver alterations found in the health of the workers studied?, And the obejtivo was to investigate possible liver disorders and its impact on the health of workers Chemist-Analyst position, seeking to correlate the results with occupational exposure to chemical agents.
This study is an observational, transversal, not experimental. The company where research took place is an authorized third party laboratory dedicated to research specific to pharmaceutical testing bioequivalence located in the valley of Mexico. The post was to evalaudo Chemical Analyst. Was carried out the identification, characterization and prioritization of chemical hazards found, by applying the Modified situational diagnosis, were located 13 chemical solvents group of Caules are associated with liver damage and the risk for these agents Exposition was determined as above.
We investigated the impact of chemical agents that may be related to liver damage through liver function tests, showed no causal relationship of liver damage from this exposure, however we associate a result of a worker with enzymatic changes from 8 years in another facility where operations performed with solvents.
It is shown that alterations to health workers have affection for airways, associated with exposure to solvents.
