| dc.description | This communication seeks to report an experience on processing and dissemination of scientific information in the media. The report begins whit the segmentation of the production mode into pieces associated with the concepts of information science and computing. It involves the analysis of the products delivered, from the standpoint of scientific dissemination by the media, and concludes with the presentation of some of the results from the interaction of the public with the channel, in its first year of operation. The channel created served as a backdrop to a theoretical discussion about issues such as the social function of scientific information, and suggests greater emphasis on mediation as an independent activity, as well as and the need for more interaction between the scientist and decoding. | en-US |

O relato se inicia pela segmentação do modo de produção em momentos associados aos conceitos da ciência da informação e computação; passa pela análise dos produtos veiculados sob o ponto de vista da divulgação científica pela mídia; e termina com a apresentação de alguns dos resultados da interação do público com o canal em seu primeiro ano de funcionamento. O canal criado serviu de pano de fundo para uma discussão teórica sobre questões como a função social da informação científica, e conclui pelo maior destaque da mediação como atividade independente e pela necessidade de mais interação do cientista com a decodificação. | pt-BR |
