The following paper has as its main objective the investigation of the thematic and stylistic particularities of the literary genre known as Science Fiction, as well as the analysis of  the  fictional science known as Psychohistory, as seen in the works Foundation (1951), Foundation and Empire (1952) and  Second Foundation (1953) by  Isaac Asimov (1920 - 1983), and its potential similarities to a contemporary historical science.O seguinte artigo tem como principais objetivos investigar as particularidades temáticas e estilísticas do gênero literário conhecido como Ficção Científica, bem como, analisar a ciência ficcional conhecida como Psico-história, como vista nas obras Fundação (1951), Fundação e Império (1952) e Segunda Fundação (1953) de Isaac Asimov (1920 - 1983), e suas potenciais similaridades à uma ciência histórica contemporânea.
