The Federal Constitution, in article 226, recognizes the family as the basis of the Society and establishes that it must receive special protection from the State. From there, two phenomena can be observed, the dispute about the concept of family by different actors, in different areas of knowledge and the need for public policies to protect the family, its conformations and effectiveness. Based on a bibliographic and documentary research in the field of studies of public policies and gender and data collection on bills regarding the concept of family, for further legal analysis, this work aims to present public policies that concern masculinity in the family context, more precisely, putting the man in perspective in his relations with his children and with his partners (of any gender) with whom he maintains a stable and loving relationship.  Another objective of the research is to understand the legislative disputes by the concept of family and its coherences based on constitutional principles.A Constituição Federal, em seu artigo 226, reconhece a família como base da Sociedade e estabelece que ela deve receber especial proteção do Estado. A partir daí, dois fenômenos podem ser observados, a disputa a respeito do conceito de família por diferentes atores, em diferentes áreas do conhecimento e a necessidade de políticas públicas para proteção da família, suas conformações e efetividades. A partir uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental no campo dos estudos das políticas públicas e gênero e levantamento de dados sobre projetos de lei a respeito do conceito de família, para posterior análise jurídica, este trabalho objetiva apresentar políticas públicas que tangenciam a masculinidade no âmbito familiar, mais precisamente, colocando o homem em perspectiva nas suas relações com seus filhos e com seus parceiros (de qualquer gênero) com quem mantenha relacionamento estável e amoroso. Outro objetivo da pesquisa é compreender as disputas legislativas pelo conceito de família e suas coerências a partir dos princípios constitucionais.
