Resumen
The mixed elements of steel and concrete are elements constituted by a steel profile, which can be laminated, welded or cold-formed, which together with the concrete composes a structural element. Although this type of system is widely used in other countries, Brazil is still growing when it comes to the use of mixed structures. This work presents a comparative study in order to establish the best mixed beam solution with laminated profiles, welded and cold-formed for lengths varying from 3.00 to 12.00 meters. Excel spreadsheets were used, for this purpose, which included all the necessary parameters for the calculation of composite beams. For the model under study, the results obtained indicate that for small lengths, up to 6.00 meters, the most economical profile and that also present the best structural performance was the cold-formed profile. For lengths equal to or greater than 6.00 meters, the laminated profile becomes more competitive and presents the best cost-benefit combined with structural performance.
