This study sought to study sought to Report reflexively a teaching practice using the movie ' the day after tomorrow ' with focus on global warming. The students and teachers did not have the habit of working with such activities to the motivation and learning of chemistry. In this way, the objectives were: to prepare a didactic sequence, with the investigative bias, using the movie "the day after tomorrow"; analyze the implementation of didactic sequence highlighting the investigative features present; analyze the potential that can be amplified or improved to make more investigative activity and efficient. This study took as the results data from the activity developed by the students that were crowded and subdivided into six groups with their respective topics about global warming, the film also designed theme. The sessions with investigative activities was qualitative order, with focus on the students ' behavior, as the manifestation of understanding and interpretation of knowledge of chemistry in the film. It was concluded that students have difficulty to understand and connect the content learned in the classroom with the movie; There is still to understand that teachers and students do not have the habit of working with films such as pedagogical instrument, especially in disciplines such as Chemistry; with care, attention and dedication you can help students with greater difficulty to thrive and feel motivated with matter, and develop the will to investigate, taking as allies the films that both hold people's attention.
