Resumen
The noise levels emitted by electro rural equipment when above the permitted are harmful to human health. Another extremely important factor is the permissible Daily Maximum Exposure to this level of noise. This study evaluated the level of noise emitted by electro rural equipment used in the animal feed processing according to Standard NR-15 and the values compared to the respective standard. We used a digital decibelimeter of the brand Skill-Tec model SKDEC-01, with a resolution of 0.1 dB and accuracy of ±1,5 dB in slow response circuits (Slow) and Equalization (A)of scale dB(A). We evaluated a disintegrator, a feed mixer and a forage harvester under normal conditions of use on a daily basis. Measurements were made with the apparatus positioned 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 m apart from the machines. The level of background noise was also measured (with the equipment turned off). The values were compared
with the respective timing of Maximum Daily Exposure to that noise. The forage harvester was the machine that got the highest noise level, followed by the disintegrator. The feed mixer showed no risk of daily exposure due to presented noise levels. The maximum daily exposure time beside the harvester without the use of earplugs was 45 minutes and the disintegrator of 1 hour and 15 minutes. There is the need to use earplugs for handling the forage harvester and the disintegrator in animal feed processing.
